Plot Bunny and Friends

If we’re not connected on Instagram, you may not have met my little friends, yet. What author doesn’t have a Plot Bunny or three foraging in their brain, hopping across their keyboard, or dancing – the bunny hop, of course – across their desk? Plot bunnies in their heads, plot bunnies in their beds…

Of course, we also need wisdom: a wise old owl perched on one shoulder, reminding us with a gentle “Who?” that it is better to use active voice than passive, or that we might want to change the character names so as not to anger their real-life counterparts. A green dragon keeps an eye on us all, happy to light a fire under everyone, when needed – or to help toast marshmallow peeps during snack time.

Names? Oh, yes, they have names. Like most of my characters, they named themselves. Over a healthy breakfast, of course.

This was a far better breakfast than the first one I took PB to. Turns out, PB is a much cuter cousin of Monty Python’s vorpal rabbit. A bunny that’s decidedly not vegetarian.

They all like to read, of course. Here’s Owl – Herman – reading Go Set a Watchman:

And Plot Bunny, pondering his purpose in life.

Plot Bunny came with me to get my eyes examined, and decided he’d like some specs.

Not that it’s going to do him much good.

I can’t cure what ails the world, but as their author, I can try to make their little corner of it happy, as they do mine.

      1. I did not know you had to assign an image separately for each. Makes sense – you could have one in a business suit for work, and you hang-gliding for personal.

I went and did that – assigned the same picture to the other email address. I’ll see if that works.

I have two email addresses and two wordpress blogs – I use them interchangeably. My picture seems to have appeared here now.

        Good catch.
