So, a Doctor, a Lawyer, and a Writer Walk into a Bar…and between the three of them, couldn’t find one kind soul who’d buy ‘em a round of drinks, so they decided to hop behind the bar and make their own. They confused alcohol with some sort of cleaning solution they found under the bar, spiced it up with a shot of rum and colored it with a splash of grenadine. The doctor took one look at it, shuddered mightily, and fell over dead; the lawyer threatened to sue himself and died after drinking a self-congratulatory shot of the noxious concoction; and the writer stole the doctor’s prescription pad and the lawyer’s gold Cross pen with which to write a bestselling tale of mysterious death and finger-pointing.
In all seriousness, it’s about the pros and cons of hubris, self-editing, under-valuing our own skills, and joining the 21st century – not necessarily in that order.
