Blog Engage Goodies to Give Away!

Okay, I have to do this quick, before Prunebutt catches me – you all know how he and Dave hate my “metablogging.” But the fact is, one of the prizes I won in Weblogbetter’s Surviving the Blog Contest includes a Blog Engage membership – one of those swanky business-level memberships that lets me share the goodies with my friends – each and every month! I have FIVE BLOG ENGAGE ACCOUNTS to give away, this month, along with one Gold membership (for a whole year!!). Here’s how to enter (see, I’m also trying out my nifty new Rafflecopter thingamabob):

a Rafflecopter giveaway

That’s all there is to it! Fun, huh?

If you’re not familiar with Blog Engage, it’s a site that helps you to promote your blog posts – it’s a way to get your latest posts out there in front of a community of active, engaged bloggers and help drive more traffic (that’s “readers” and “eyeballs”) to your blog. And let’s be honest – who really writes a blog just to let it sit there lonely and unread? Whether you’re hoping to generate a little extra spending money or just increase your fame and garner fans, a site like Blog Engage can be really helpful. Just enter for your chance to give it a try – for free!

For even more information and more chances to win, visit OddBlogger and read Abhi Balani’s thoughts on Blog Engage. You can enter there, as well! Maybe he should have included membership in Blog Engage as one of his “signs of a good blogger“!

Girl, you are wearin’ me out! I just got on XeeMe, thanks to you. Doing Klout and Empire Avenue… That’s your scheme, isn’t it? Get me all tangled up in Social networking, so I don’t have time to write. That’s it, isn’t it? Isn’t it?

    Hey Holly,

This sounds interesting though I am too busted at the moment to try something new :(

Do you have this coming up any time again (pretty please!) I might try it then! :)

  5. Maybe. You do realize it takes about 2 minutes to do everything here but the blog post, right, Hajra? And that if you win, the BE membership will help you to promote your contest posts… ;)

Sorry, Abhi, had to be honest about that. Oh, how I hate to have my loyalties ripped in half! Woe is me! Hajra, seriously, you can surely Tweet – and you’re probably already following everyone… and you’ve got one entry if you make it official, just for commenting…

  6. Dave Michaud says:

No complaints or razzing from me and I’ve decided to stop making fun of your metablogging Holly because it appeals to my capitalistic sensibilities; you’ve once again proven me wrong at my own game. I had to break out my twenty six year old “Badger” air brush so my son could fix the blemishes on the fabric headliner and leather seats of his car and turn it into a chic magnet. Imagine my discomfort when it didn’t work. Try finding a blog that provides an accurate and empirical description of Paasche’, Iwata or Badger airbrushes. Someone, a blogger preferably needs to aggregate product reviews. Forum posters can’t write and nobody trusts a manufacturer’s web site.

My son’s art was selected for his school’s yearbook cover for 2012 and they’re deciding between his rendering in pastel or “Sharpie” :) LOL

He wouldn’t have known about using Sharpies for application other than shipping labels if I hadn’t passed along your product review via Blog Engage:)

    Dave

    • Well, you keep right on complaining, Dave, if it gets stale and formulaic and un-Holly-like, okay? Would that be a fair compromise? And I’ll try to remember that you’re watching over my shoulder if I’m tempted to take shortcuts and join the herd.

I can’t remember, now, if it was Hadass or Karen or both who said, during the Surviving the Blog Contest: “Does DAVE know HE’S your Muse?” (Don’t tell Prunebutt. Cover his little pointy spines – I think that’s where his ears are. He just THINKS he’s my Muse – he’s really more like your scary little enforcer. But your disappointment is scarier than the little porcupine-like sausage ball with owl’s eyes, over there.)

I’m not sure Googling “badger airbrush” would be safe for work, Dave. What are you trying to do to me? *snarf* And I’m so proud – now you have to promise to send me a scan of the Yearbook cover when your son’s done with it!

      • Dave Michaud says:

I actually had to look up -muse- on dictionary.com when one of your herd mentioned it, I lazily assumed it was a euphemism for “pain in the neck”:)

So…like Erma Bombeck said: “When are you going to invite us into the good living room?” What’s happening with your new blog? Will it be the same eclectic gang of enjoyable characters? I hate it when producers change cast…

        • Did I not invite you?? Seriously? OMG. My promo skills are slacking. Apparently, so is my ability to see all the comments on my blog when they’re made… what the heck?

Anyway – it’s at http://race2hugo.net and the cast of characters is a bit different. ;) I think you and Prunebutt will both approve, though. LOL – just because one’s Muse can occasionally BE a PITA doesn’t mean that’s what a Muse is, Dave. And you and Prunebutt really only bring out the mean when I richly deserve it, so it’s all good. Keep it coming!

          • Dave Michaud says:

I thought the vaunted Hugo race was for bloggers only, I stole a peek anyway; Marian Allen engineered a tasty fabrication over there, she adds characters to a story like the Vatican adds Saints :)

  7. Kind of confusing … I tried to leave a comment before and it crashed on me, but now it’s showing I already left a comment. But I decided to leave you one anyway ;-) .

I’d love to win one of those memberships – maybe I’ll get more serous about blogging then ;-) .

    • Well go enter over at Abhi’s contest, too – there are lots of giveaways running right now – big promotional push for a new year at Blog Engage! And I’ll be able to do this at least one, maybe two more times before my swanky top-of-the-line Business PLUS Blog Engage membership runs out. (I got three months of that, plus 9 months’ Platinum Services as part of my winnings in the Surviving the Blog Contest.)
