How to Sort Text in Microsoft Word or Open Office Writer

Microsoft Word Select the Insert tab. Click Table > Convert Text to Table. In most cases, if you’re simply sorting a list of items, the default options in the Convert Text to Table dialog are adequate. Check them, change them if you wish, then click OK.
