Unintentionally Hilarious

Creepy, Automated Advertising

I have a shockingly morbid sense of humor, so I laughed out loud at the advertisment Google Ads just happened to run with this Victorian-era death photo:

There’s always that danger when you’re just “phoning it in.”

    1. It’s the combination of photo and ad that’s morbidly funny, Ramana.

Personally, I think that the photos are touching. A bit odd to think of them being posed as they were, but normal to want loved ones – dead or alive – in the very few family photos most people would have had back then. (Only professional photographers had the equipment, and any session would have been expensive, time consuming, and rare.) I have no problem with the photos, really. But the ad… OMG.
