Auspicious Eggs

2 Oct , 2018

I really wasn’t planning to have three eggs for breakfast this morning, but as I widened the crack on the second egg, two yolks slipped into the pan.

I’ve read that this is generally regarded as good luck.

Unless you’re in the UK. There, it means imminent death.

It could also mean someone in the immediate family is pregnant – possibly with twins. All I know for sure: It ain’t me.

I’m going to take “good luck” and a hearty breakfast. But I have to add, this is the first time in my life I’ve seen a double yolked egg!

Yes double the luck is much better than either death or a pregnancy . Though of course I always kid my kids that if I do conceive it would be just more than a miracle ! That annoys them no end

Well, look at it on the bright side:
Unexpected nutrition. And I think it IS good luck.

    Holly,
Your AUSPICIOUS EGGS photo and post caught my eye. I shared them with a few U.S. Navy Data Systems veteran buddies of course with credits to you and your blog.

    Warm Regards,

I’ve heard of double yolked eggs, but never seen one. Considering that I’ve greatly decreased my egg consumption I have vastly decreased my chances of ever seeing a double yolk.

Now, what about a double yuck joke? Whatever that might be.
