Elementary school art teacher Rebecca Bonner turned her young students, over 500 of them, into fashion designers for two weeks – letting them decorate a white dress with Sharpie markers and fabric pens, any way they wanted to.  Then she wore the dress to her students’ art show at Mcauliffe Elementary School in Highland Village, Texas. Her daughter posted a photo:

I wonder if I could get some cute custom couture like this?

Holly Jahangiri is the author of Trockle, illustrated by Jordan Vinyard; A Puppy, Not a Guppy, illustrated by Ryan Shaw; and the newest release: A New Leaf for Lyle, illustrated by Carrie Salazar.     It makes me wonder if she ask them to only do the lower part of the dress or if the students conspired to leave the top part alone.

      I wondered that, too. But it kind of looks like a two piece dress. Maybe she only gave them the skirt.
