Children love to help out, to feel valued, and to belong. They are eager volunteers, but there are surprisingly few meaningful opportunities for them to help out in their communities. Raising Men Lawn Care Service seeks to change that. “Raising Men Lawn Care Service is the union of an ordinary yard maintenance service and the commitment to establish an inspiring program to keep our youth (girls & boys) on a positive path while learning and understanding their value in society. RMLS provides free lawn care to our elders, those who are disabled, single mothers and our veterans, who do not have the time, resources and/or money to manicure their yards.”
For the month of August mowing for a cause, I will mow for mental health. My mower will be up for bid again as well as the shirts on sale and 100% of proceeds going to a organization that helps those in mental health . Thanks to my friend Charlie for the support pic.twitter.com/adB1Xl89gA

Founder Rodney Smith (@iamrodneysmith) has been making headlines mowing lawns for veterans in all 50 states, mowing for a cause (this month’s is mental health), and helping people avoid being fined by the city for not being able to mow their lawns or pay for a lawn care service. With the 50 Lawn Challenge, he’s inspiring young people around the world – kids are mowing lawns, raking leaves, and shoveling snow for neighbors in need, from the US to Australia, Canada, Germany, Bermuda, and the UK!
