Not the blushed clotted cream\r\nof bridal rose or grandmother-gray with silver -\r\nflecks. Not pulsing deep, copper-scented,\r\niron-oxide red of a bull\u2019s heartblood \r\nspilling from its corded neck as its knees buckle. \r\nNot kalamata, not sun-ripened fig.
